well, I was goin to the Naval Academy after high school. The only thing I had to complete was my physical at the MEPS center in Knoxville and I would have been on my way....but instead, I ended up going to college so I guess my choice was made.
wish i would have on to college besides of taking this semester off, i'll be going spring semester, but now wish i hadn't took the time off, can't wait for it though...
for those of you who are in college now, or have went and are now working, what did you go to college for?
I'm up at Wise, I'm getting my Bachelors in History up there minor in Pols. ... after I graduate from their next year I'm going to grad school to get my masters/PhD so I can teach at a college level... I was gonna do HS level History but I think I'd be better suited for college teaching..
I am in my third semester at Pitt Community College, my major is Criminal Justice. My CJ classes are very interesting, if you are interested in crimes and how the government works. After I get my 2 year degree I am going to be a police officer and contiue to get my 4 year degree, where eventually I want to become a youth probation officer.
I'm at MECC doing my basics-- and in the Fall of 06 will be transferring to wise to get my Bachelors. I'm majoring in English so I can teach high school level.
1st semester at VT...goin for a major in mining engineering and a minor in History
BUMP!
Resurrected again!!! Hahaha...I was wondering where this thread had gone...
about time this thread came back
now we can talk about cheese again!! haha
I do like cheese!
This thread is like a message board in its self
but the best cheese is from Monterrey's
even though nothing beats Monterrey's cheese dip.. Wal*Mart sells a great imitation of it, and it's simple to make just add milk.
I'm done with Monterrey's. There was one summer where I ate there on 3 separate occasions, all about a month apart, and got REALLY sick. I stick to Los Arcos for Mexican food now that I'm here in Abingdon.
Monterreys is disgusting...try some La Carretta over here in Colonial Heights

what's that recipe?
my dad and I bought some from Pay-less...it was supposed to be an imitation of Monterrey's cheese. The brand was Gordo's I think...it was okay, I just prefer the actual restuarant cheese better
yeah what brand of cheese are we talking here???
My husband loves that stuff
It's the kind that's vacuum sealed in a disk-like shape or a square (think there are 2 brands - no difference between them if you ask me).
We've used it before. Following the instructions on the pack doesn't make did AS good as the restaurants, but fairly close. I'd add some peppers to it.
You can buy any brand of white American cheese too.
It's down beside the biscuits/cookie dough.
I'm finding lots of recipies online...
so...you put milk in it?
it is grainy if you just melt it.....have used it before...not from up there
will have to try that
It's a small block of cheese, you cut the block into small cubes, then had about 8oz of milk. Without the milk it is too thick...
